Less Is More- Laser Prospecting Principle!
Less Is More- Laser Prospecting Principle!
This is probably one of the best “secrets” that I learned pretty early in my career. Although I can’t point to just one single tip that enabled me to rise to the global management team, I am certain that this helped me stand out from all of my peers and ensure success! It is a longish video. So, take the time when you can spare 20 minutes! This Video will help a Temp or outside sales rep.. It will help the perm producer and will certainly help the manager/owner! It really is counter-intuitive, but this just might be the video that changes the face of your business… and it’s really easy to do!

Great, and as always an inspiration.
Thank you.

Great video. I agree 100% that specialization is really the key to surviving in this economy and experiencing explosive growth in the good times. We used to use a visual target list of 10 clients and actually physically move the logos through the prospecting to contract completion phases. For me it made a huge difference actually seeing my targets move through the process. The most successful times in my career in business development are when I use the principles you mentioned and blocked off my Quadrant II time (Franklin Covey). Thanks for the reminder.

Everything I have heard from Neil so far I have put into action and I have reaped the rewards each time.
It is four days since I watched this video….well one of my prospects as many do currently, have a recruitment freeze, and that came from the MD. (Get that, a bit of research and got the MD to contact ME. I sent a wicked email promted by a previous lesson, being myself and not contrived and corporate. Emailed me back in 2 minutes). So no luck there.
But with the second prospect I got through to the CEO of the largest media agency in Europe (also global) and after a very brief conversation (thought of some irresistable things to say previously) I have a meeting in two weeks. Now they may also have a freeze or have made redundancies but I will definately be on the radar now for when the time IS right or even better he may have only invited me because he has a role in mind. Iether way a cracking result for me and my morale.
So what do I do for the rest of the week Neil!! That was just four days!! Well I guess I have to pick another 2 prospects and start all over again. Such hardship.
Thanks Neil

Thanks for the video Neil! You remind us all how much we can spin wheels in this industry and your point of focusing on 2 prospects each week makes a lot of sense. As a perm recruiter, I believe it is vital to our success that we know as much about the company, as if we worked there ourselves, in order to make a successful placement and there truly is an amazing amount of information available if we just take the time to do the research. My favorite tools are Linked In (what kind of people do they hire) and Yahoo Finance (for public companies and a wealth of information!)
